Eleven wounded in Songkhla blast

SONGKHLA, April 2 (TNA) - A bomb hidden in a motorcycle parked at a fresh market in Thailand's southern Songkhla Province exploded Saturday morning, injuring seven civilians and four paramilitary rangers, one of them was in critical condition.
According to local police, two male children, aged six years and six months, were also wounded in the blast in Songkhla's Thepa District. All the wounded, including a paramilitary ranger who was in critical condition, were rushed to local hospitals.
The police said that suspected insurgents were initially assumed to be behind the fresh violence in Songkhla, and that local security officers, including those in Hat Yai, have been on high alert following the bomb attack. (TNA)
