Foreigners advised to closely follow floods in Thai South

BANGKOK, April 1 (TNA) - Many countries have warned their citizens to closely follow up the flooding situation in Thailand's southern region, as the ongoing inundations in eight provinces have killed at least 21 people so far.

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday that many countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and the Czech Republic, have warned their people of heavy inundations in the Thai South currently and have advised those who are visiting the Kingdom to closely follow up updated flood reports from Thai government agencies.

The UK and the Czech Republic have even warned their people not to particularly visit Tao and Pha-ngan Islands at the moment.

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that such the warnings of the foreign nations are normal as a precaution for the safety of their nationals. (TNA)
