Salihi, political accordance might deprive the Turkmen from Vice-President Post
Baghdad (NINA) – MP from Iraqiya Slate-Turkmen Front, Arshad Al Salihi, expressed fear from the political accordance that could lead to depriving the Turkmen from the third Vice-President post, Salihi told NINA.
He said “the third post is the Turkmen’s right, but, some dominant blocs want to seize it, I think these attempts were faced with rejection by the others blocs.”
He added “this happens under the President’s and Premier’s knowledge who asserted that this post is our right, but, they backed out their promise upon their blocs influence,” pointing out that “we fear from the political accordance behind the curtains to bypass the 3 vice-presidents deal with one voting round and exclude the Turkmen from their right.”
Leaders in Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council asserted to NINA earlier that Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi asked to be excused from assuming the vice-president post; he was nominated for it officially by the president and National Alliance.
