Russia EMERCOM plane takes off from RF, CIS evacuees from Libya

MOSCOW, March 31 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's (EMERCOM) plane with Russians and citizens of other states who were evacuated from Libya, have flown from Tunisia, the ministry's information department told Itar-Tass.
"The Ilyushin Il-62 plane took off from Djerba airport at 23:00 MSK, Wednesday. It carries 110 people, including 51 Russians, as well as citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, and three citizens of Libya - husbands of women evacuees," said a ministry official.
In late February - early March, after the deterioration of the
situation in Libya, a total 914 people, including 467 Russia citizens, as well as citizens of 13 countries, were evacuated from Jamahiriya. Almost all of them worked in Libya under contracts with Russian companies. Some of Russians and foreigners had to be evacuated from the Libyan city of Ras Lanuf by ferryboat to Montenegro, and from there they were airlifted to Moscow by an EMERCOM plane.
