Chalabi urges the government to recognize Libyan Transitional Council
Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the Iraqi National Conference INC, Ahmed Chalabi, called on the Iraqi government to endorse the Libyan National Transitional Council and contact it immediately as it is the legitimate representative of the Libyan people, Chalabi stated in a press conference.
He added “the elected Iraqi government is demanded to side with the Arab peoples in their revolutions and uprisings to help them shift to democracy.”
He went on saying “the Arab League, as well, has learned the lesson resulted from the Iraqi uprising in 1991; the foreign military intervention is necessary to enable the Arab peoples reach their rights in freedom and democracy in front of comprehensive fascist regimes that govern them with iron and fire and use only one language of repression against their people.”
