Pakistan Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation delivers over 15 thousand plots
Islamabad, March 29, 2011 (PPI): Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has delivered 15465 development plots and 2069 apartments in different housing schemes in major cities of Pakistan so far since its inception.
FGEHF has the plan to provide 5430 plots to the Federal Government Employees media-men and other eligible specified groups the development of which is in egress whereas 4000 plots and 2700 High Rise apartments will be developed and delivered in coming days.
According to the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, a membership drive scheme was launched which 19629 employees will in the country and abroad were registered held 31st December 2010. The objective of this scheme was to enlist the Federal Government Employees for plots/flats in future Housing Foundation Scheme. Employees once registered will get plots in the forthcoming schemes.
It may be added that FGEHF had signed an agreement with M/s. Gree Tree (Pvt) LTD for provision of developed plots on an area of 3000 Kanals in Barha Kohn out if which 2953 Kanals has been transferred in favour of FGEHF training 100 ft wide alternate access road from Murree Express Way. The Housing Foundation will provided 4000 developed plots as per CDA standard including roads sewerage water supply, gas and electricity.
The objection of the Housing Foundation is to provide shelter to serving and retired FG Employees and specified group of people decided by the Board from time to time by launching scheme on ownership basis in Islamabad the provincial capitals and major cities.
In this first speech at the parliament, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani while unveiling the priorities of the Government had revealed that the government would embark upon an ambition housing program to provided shelter for all citizen of the country. Ministry of Housing and Works has been making strenuous efforts to materialize the dream into realty.
