Maliki sent the security ministers names to parliament, MP
Baghdad (NINA) – MP from State of Law, Walid Al Hilli, announced that Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki, sent yesterday names of the candidates for the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior to parliament.
He told NINA that “Khalid Mitib Al Obeidi is among the candidates for MOD and that three candidates for the MOI were presented; Muhsin Al Kaabi, Ibrahim Al Lami, and Adnan Al Asadi.”
He added that “Adnan Al Asadi is the closest to the MOI, the State of Law Coalition supports his nomination as Asadi works in MOI for 7 years now, he is honest and professional. The security situation requires that we do not risk brining new people.”
Asadi is one of the Dawa party leaders. He got a seat in parliament on the city of Baghdad.
Maliki is now the Acting minister of Defense, Interior, and National Security.
