Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolian fighter D.Monkhbayasgalan has won a gold medal in the PAN Jiu-Jitsu Championship that has taken place in California, the USA. This competition has been organized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) from 1995.
D.Monkhbayasgalan, who has a silver form these events of previous times, has grabbed the gold medal by defeating his rivals in four contests. Apart of the USA, other fighters have participated from Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.

Mongolian wrestlers competed in the 31st Super World Cup for Sambo that took place March 25-26 in Moscow, Russia. Named after A.A.Kharlampiyev, a founder of Sambo wrestling, the competition has brought together some 300 wrestlers from European, Asian and American countries.
The Mongolian team has been represented by S.Miaragchaa, Kh.Monkhbaatar, N.Nomin, E.Ariun-Erdene and D.Enkhbold. They have been coached by N.Bayarsaikhan. Bronze medals have been won by N.Nomin (women's 48 kg), S.Miaragchaa (men's 68 kg) and Kh.Monkhbaatar (men's +100 kg).

An international master of sports N.Bayarmaa has broken state records in the Weightlifting State Championships. Competed in the women's 69 kg contest, N.Bayarmaa has set seven records. One record has been set in snatch, three records-in clean and jerk, and three records-in the total results.
Mongolia's Federation of Weightlifting has named athletes to take part in the Asian and World Championships after final results of the state championships. The team for the competitions comprises E.Monkhdol, N.Bayarmaa, G.Otgontuya and Ankhtsetseg.

Mongolian delegation comprising J.Otgontsagaan, president of Mongolia's Union of Sport Journalists (MUSJ) and Ch.Otgonbaatar, first vice president of the MUSJ, participated in the 74th meeting of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) held March 26 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
This meeting has discussed urgent problems faced to sport journalists of countries. Presentations have been made about Munich (Germany), Annecy (France) and Pyeongchang (Republic of Korea) that are candidate cities for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Moreover, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has given a report on the Daegu-2011 IAAF World Championships.
The representatives of the AIPS have visited Pyeongchang city to get au fait with the preparation for the Winter Olympics.
In accordance with the meeting's decision, the next AIPS's meeting will be held January 12-16, 2012 in Innsbruck, Austria, and then in Sochi, Russia.
