SPEAKER WORKS IN KHOVD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker worked Sunday in Khovd aimag. He got acquainted with the "Khoshoot" coal mine and met D.Battulga, a director of the "Mon-Enco" LLC in charge of public relations affairs.
The Speaker has asked the mine's authorities about dates of establishing electricity source based on the mine, plan of environmental rehabilitation and its capital, and providing of the local people with jobs. He has especially highlighted a level of the environmental rehabilitation and whether the money for it is transferred into a proper account.
The Speaker has avised the company's authorities to avoid disputing over mining and pay attention instead to starting a great construction.
After this, D.Demberel went to Tsetseg soum to see its situation and talk with its inhabitants. As he was told, the most difficult problem the soum is facing is a lack of electricity. A solar energy source used now is not capable enough to fully provide the soum, the people have told the Speaker and asked him and the authorities to pay attention to it.
A head of the Energy Authority Ts.Bayarbaatar has said the state cannot create electricity source within this year, underlining that the soum has to fully exploit its diesel power stations. The "Mon-Enco" company is to provide the "Khoshoot" mine with permanent electricity, he went on. If this work is done, electric lines will be run to the soum, if it fails, the soum's authority will consider a matter of running enerfy lines from Most soum.
From Tsetseg soum, the Speaker has headed to the aimag's Altai and Uyench soums.
