Debbagh: Erdogan visits Iraq Monday
Baghdad (NINA) – Government spokesman, Ali Debbagh, announced that Turkish Premier, Recep Tayeb Erdogan, starts an official visit to Iraq on Monday, March 28.
He told NINA that "the Turkish premier will be heading a ministerial delegation and will hold meetings with Iraq's president, ministers, parliament, and political leaders to discuss political and economic issues."
The Turkish premier's visit comes upon an invitation directed from Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri Al Maliki.
Acquainted sources asserted that the Turkish official will hold a meeting with Cleric Ali Sistani in Najaf. He will also hold another meeting with Kurdistan president, Masoud Barzani.
