Harbin's 22nd fair to promote Russia-China cooperation

BEIJING, March 27 (Itar-Tass) -- Development of regional cooperation
between Russia and China will be of key interest at the 22nd Trade and
Economic Fair in Harbin, due on June 15-19.
"Special attention will be paid to the China-Russia regional
cooperation," an official from China's province said. Russia and China
have been involved in several joint projects in the bordering territories.
They include construction of a trans-border railway across the Amur River
and construction with participation of the Chinese side of two energy
blocks of the Troitsk hydroelectric power plant.
At this year's fair, China will suggest continuing further development
of the economic cooperation with Russia in the bordering regions, which
would include raw materials' processing plants, metallurgy and chemical
enterprises. The two countries will expand cooperation in agriculture and
livestock farming.
The upcoming event may become a very convenient platform for further
practical cooperation in construction of speed highways and railways,
infrastructures, and reconstruction of electric networks and others, the
official said.
The fair will host a Russia-china energy dialogue, traditional Day of
Russia and several conferences on development of regional cooperation.
Russia's Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin is expected to
participate in the fair.
Over 10,000 delegates representing foreign companies and other
organisations from 80 countries will take part in the Harbin fair in 2011.
