NEGOTIATIONS HELD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ After the individual meeting, the Prime Ministers of Mongolia and the Republic of Korea have held negotiations. Present at the negotiations were G.Zandanshatar, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia; D.Gerel, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea; G.Batkhuu, a Vice Speaker; Kh.Battulga, the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development; S.Lambaa, the Minister of Health; and Yo.Otgonbayar, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
During the negotiations, the Premier S.Batbold has expressed his satisfaction with widening of the bilateral relations in the politics, economics, culture, education, health and humanitarian sectors at regional and international arenas. He has emphasized an importance of bringing principles of the relations into a new level and taking comprehensive measures for realizing the biggest purposes.
The Premier S.Batbold has told about his proposal on exempting the countries people from the visas under systematic steps in order to create conditions for mutual visits and free turnover of trade. Noting that the violations in the visa matter of Mongolians have been decreased, S.Batbold has wanted the Korean side to involve Mongolians in mixed families in Korea in a common regulation. He has emphasized that the government of Mongolia has given a right to Mongolists of Korea to visit Mongolia with multiple entry-exit visa.
S.Batbold has put forward a request to the Korean side to involve the Mongolian workers in professional training, and granting to them certificates. In response of this request, the Korean side has reported that the Mongolians working in the country have started to get professional certificates, and the S.Korean side has obliged related officials to organize a measure of providing them with certificates.
The Mongolia's Premier has said Mongolia wants to increase number of students studying with scholarships of the Korean scholarships in sophisticated professions such as energy, geology, processing productions, medicine, engineering and land agriculture. In a scope of a goal to implement policy of supporting human development, S.Batbold has said he wanted assistance from the Korean side to implement a project on founding a diagnosis center in Mongolia, and then expressed thanks for accepting this request. He has hoped that this center will be an exemplary project of the bilateral developmental cooperation.
S.Batbold has thanked the Korean side for choosing Mongolia as one of the important countries that are to receive non-refundable aid from the Korean government and as the main strategic partner country for a program on East Asia's meteorological partnership, and for a decision to increase size of non-refundable aid to be rendered in 2011 and 2013.
The Mongolian Premier has expressed a willingness to support investments from S.Korea for exploiting the biggest mineral deposits and constructing infrastructure. He also has put forward a proposal to increase frequency of flights between the two countries in conjunction with an increase of Mongolian and Korean tourists.
