Thai investors urged to explore promising opportunities in Indonesia

BANGKOK, March 26 (TNA) - The Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) has urged Thai firms to explore more investment opportunities in Indonesia.

BOI Secretary-General Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble, who is leading a Thai business delegation to visit Indonesia to explore business and investment opportunities, noted that Indonesia, the world's largest archipelagic country with some 230 million consumers, is a most attractive market for international investors, including those from Thailand.

Atchaka said that Indonesia is improving regulations to welcome overseas investors, particularly in local infrastructure projects and there are now more rooms for Thai business operators to expand their investment into the growing Indonesian economy.

The BOI chief acknowledged that several Thai businesses appear to have a bright prospect in Indonesia, also known as the world's largest Muslim nation, where market demand for consumer goods, seafood products and automobile parts remain high. (TNA)
