MONGOLIA AND KOREA TO COLLABORATE IN NUCLEAR ENERGY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A head of Mongolia's Nuclear energy agency, S.Enkhbat and a head of Cosmos, nuclear technology department of the Ministry of Education, science, technology of Republic Korea, Yang Sun Kvan have signed a memorandum of mutual understanding.
It reflects some important issues such as cooperating in nuclear energy-related matters as developing human resources, conducting research works, using this kind of energy for peaceful purposes, introducing nuclear technology, and training specialists. The two sides have agreed, for example, to train the Mongolians in nuclear, radiation safety and protection in S.Korea, to run a preliminary research from December 2011 regarding an installation in Mongolia of a Korea-made reactor in Mongolia. Within this target, several officials of the Korean institute will arrive in Mongolia this April.
