Mo'ayad al-Lami announces that Jazeera team detained in Libya will be released soon

Baghdad (NINA) – President of Libyan Journalists Union, Ashour al-Tilaisi informed the President of Iraqi Journalists Union and member of the International Federation of Journalists, Mo'ayad al-Lami that the team of Jazeera Satellite Channel, detained in Libya for about two weeks is in good health conditions.

In a statement to NINA on Thursday, Mar. 24, that Tilaisi has told him in a telephone call that Libyan authorities have responded to his appeals to Libyan journalists to release the Jazeera team.

He pointed out that Libyan authorities promised Tilaisi that they will release on Saturday the Jazeera's four journalists, affirming that they are in good health conditions.

Libyan authorities detained in Zintan area, near Tunisian borders; they are Ammar Jihad al-Hamdan (of Iraqi origin), Ahmel Fal Wilad al-Deen (from Mauritania), news caster Lutfi al-Masoudi (Tunisian) and Kamil al-Talu'.
