Pakistan sends 24 tons relief supplies to Japan

Islamabad, March 24, 2011 (PPI): Pakistan Thursday sent two C-130 aircraft to Tokyo with 24 tons relief supplies for Japan’s flood and tsunami affected people. The aircraft carried including 13.5 tons high power biscuits, 9 tons milk packs and 1.5 tons mineral water. Syed Hasan Javed, Additional Secretary and Japan’s ambassador Chihiro Atsumi were present at airport. Atsumi expressed thanks for provision of timely assistance. A Foreign Office statement said Pakistan stands ready to provide any assistance to help Japanese friends in future,
