Walk organized to mark ‘World TB Day’ in Pakistan

Kunri, March 24, 2011 (PPI): To create awareness regarding the perils of tuberculosis (TB), a walk was organized here by Christian TB Centre on ‘World Tuberculosis Day’. The walk led by Dr. Bill McLoe, Dr. Imroz Goyal and Priest Qaiser Lal started from the TB Centre and ended at the Press Club.

Speaking on the occasion, medical experts said every year in Pakistan about 80 out of 100,000 get infected by TB. They urged masses to adopt preventive measures against the infection.

They said government has taken measures in the urban as well as the rural areas to counter tuberculosis.
