Hammoudi asserts necessity of “tightening Iraqi line, not deceived by sectarian sedition”
Baghdad (NINA) – Leader in the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Humam Hamoudi, discussed with head of the Iraqi Scholars and Intellectuals Group branch in the south, Khalid Al Mulla, recent developments in Iraq and the region.
A statement issued by Hammoudi’s office said that during a reception of the Group delegation, Hammoudi stressed the necessity of “tightening the Iraqi line and not to be deceived by the sectarian sedition that might be agitated by decisions of some leaders of the region.”
Hammoudi criticized statements aired by some clerics that “reflect inaccuracy and non-understanding of the Zionist scheme aiming at dividing the nation and scattering it,” affirming the necessity of “making kindness and positivity as clerics’ logic in order to gather the nation on a unified stance,” the statement concluded.
