Etihad Airways to start double daily service between Manchester, Abu Dhabi

Lahore, March 22, 2011 (PPI): Etihad Airways, UAE’s national airline, will double its flight frequency between Manchester and Abu Dhabi from August 1, 2011 from seven to 14 flights each week connecting daily to their flights from Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad.

It further capacity boost following announcement early this year that August 1 increase would be from daily to 10 flights a week.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways CEO said: “Manchester service has been a key part of our network for five years and we are very excited to announce that we will soon offer 14 flights each week to Abu Dhabi. Frequency increase illustrates how we established in North West of England and that we are now airline of choice, whether flying to Abu Dhabi or transferring through to destinations in Asia, such as Thailand and Pakistan.”

From Pakistan, Etihad operates 23 weekly flights to Abu Dhabi - with daily flights from Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad and twice weekly from Peshawar.
