STATE LEADERS RECEIVE COSMONAUTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Tuesday a delegation led by J.Gurragchaa, Hero of the former Soviet Union and the People's Republic of Mongolia and a cosmonaut; M.Ganzorig, a backup cosmonaut and Hero of Labor of Mongolia; and Major-General V.A. Dzhanibekov, a cosmonaut.
Beginning the meeting, the Premier expressed thanks to the Russian cosmonauts for visiting Mongolia, and hoped that the Mongolia-Russia relations and cooperation will widen especially in the space sector.
In response, V.A. Dzhanibekov has expressed thanks to the Premier for an audience and inviting the former cosmonauts to Mongolia celebrating the anniversary of the joint space program. The cosmonaut J.Gurragchaa has granted the commemorative coin of the anniversary to S.Batbold.
The same day, the Parliament Speaker D.Demberel met the delegation, and then congratulated them on awarding with state prizes. Present at this meeting were L.Bold, the Defense Minister; Ts.Sharavdorj, the secretary-general of the parliamentary office; S.Banzragch, an advisor to the Speaker; and other officials.
