Moderate quake fixed off Russian Kamchatka

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, March 22 (Itar-Tass) - A moderate earthquake registering 4.5 on the Richter Scale was fixed on Monday in the Pacific Sea off the eastern coast of Russia's Kamchatka, specialists from the Kamchatka division of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Geophysical Service said on Tuesday.
There was no destruction and nobody was injured. There is no threat of tsunami, the sources said.
They said the earth tremor was fixed at 6:25 pm, local time on Monday (10:25 am, Moscow time, on Monday). The epicenter was about 425 kilometers northeast of the regional centre of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and 140 kilometers west of the settlement of Nikolskoye on Bering Island. The epicenter was at the depth of 16.4 kilometers under the sea floor.
