At least 19 killed in plane crash in Congo

PRETORIA, March 22 (Itar-Tass) - At least 19 people were killed and 14 were injured when a cargo plane crashed on Monday in a densely populated neighborhood in the Republic of Congo, police of Pointe-Noire, where the crash took place on Monday, said.
An Antonov-12 plane owned by private company Trans Air Congo crashed in Pointe-Noire when its engine failed, burying several houses in debris. Most of the casualties were their residents.
According to police, there were four crewmen on board the plane, as well as five illegal aliens on board. Some reports said the crew included three Russian nationals and one Kazakh national, and some of them could have survived.
Police sources stress that information on casualties is preliminary, as specialists are still clearing the debris.
