Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian Olympic athletes have started competing in the Olympic qualification tournaments, and are having intensive training. State championships in judo and boxing took place last week.
Shooters of the state selected team have left for Australia to compete in the Shooting World Cup of Sydney which will last until March 31. The Mongolian team comprises seven shooters led by O.Gundegmaa, a State Honored Sportswoman and Olympic silver medalist, and Ts.Khongorzul, a Youths' World champion. After this, they will compete in the World Cup competitions to take place April 7-15 in the South Korea.

Mongolia's Judo Federation (MJF) organized the state championships and has named selected judoists to compete in the Asian championships to run April 5-7 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
The national team for the Asian championships comprises D.Tomorkhuleg (men's 60 kg), Kh.Tsagaanbaatar (66 kg), G.Odbayar (73 kg), G.Tuvshinjargal (81 kg), E.Enkhbat (90 kg), N.Tuvshinbayar (-100 kg), N.Batsuuri (+100 kg), M.Urantsetseg (women's 48 kg), M.Bundmaa (52 kg), D.Sumya (57 kg), Ts.Monkhzaya (63 kg), Ts.Naranjargal (70 kg), P.Lhamdegd (-78 kg) and D.Tserenkhand (+78 kg). They will compete in the Judo Grand Prix of Baku to run May 6-8.

Mongolia's Free-Style Wrestling Federation will organize the state championships from April 29 to May 1 in the Sports Complex.
This year's state championships named “Mongolia Open” will run among not only Mongolian wrestlers, but also foreign wrestlers.
After the state championships, the state team's wrestlers will compete in the Asian championships to be held May 19-22 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The state championships for boxing took place last week. Selected boxers have started an intensive training for competing in serial tournaments of Europe such as in Serbia, Albania and Romania. By the way, a State Honored Sportsman and Olympic champion E.Badar-Uugan will compete in these tournaments.
