US forces launch cruise missiles against Libyan targets

WASHINGTON, March 19 (Itar-Tass) -- U.S. Navy forces in the
Mediterranean Sea have carried out first strikes with cruise missiles
against Libyan air defence targets, U.S. mass media, including CNN and

Western coalition forces carry out strikes on civilians and civilian
sites and fuel storage facilities located around the city of Misurata,
Libyan television reports.
