Thailand's off-season cold weather kills scores

BANGKOK, March 19 (TNA) - An unexpected frost in Thailand currently, brought on by a stretch of rainfalls due to a high pressure mass from China and a strong western wind from India, has caused sickness across the country this week.
In northeastern Chaiyaphum Province, the local health office publicly advised people to wrap up in warm clothing, after hundreds were rendered bedridden in hospital, ten of which even passed away. The locals were also encouraged to give particularly close attention to their health, including avoiding any alcoholic beverages.
Meanwhile, at least 16 livestock cattle at Huay Ma locality in northern Phrae Province have died over the past two days from the sudden drop in temperatures. (TNA)
