Belarus buys over 6M tonnes of Russian oil duty-free 2010

MINSK, March 19 (Itar-Tass) -- Belarus bought 6.49 million tones of
Russia's duty-free oil, which is by 190,000 tonnes above the plans,
Prime-Tass reports referring to a source in the government.
Over 2010, Belarus imported from Russia 12.96 million tones, where
6.49 million tones were supplied on a duty-free basis, and for another
6.47 million tones duties were paid, the source said.
"The additional amount of the duty-free oil was supplied under the
agreements between the sides."
An option to increase supplies of duty-free oil is based on the
documents Russia and Belarus signed on January 27, 1010 in Moscow.
According to the documents, the amount of Russia's duty-free supplies to
Belarus' oil refineries may be revised to October 1 to consider growing
demand in the domestic market.
From January 1, 2011, Belarus buys on a duty-free basis Russia's oil
and oil products, in compliance with the bilateral intergovernmental
agreement on distribution of export duties, which was signed in Moscow on December 9, 2010.
