Yakutia organizes Arctic Innovations Centre
ORNO-ALTAYSK, March 19 (Itar-Tass) -- The new Arctic Innovations
Centre in Yakutia will be based on the North-Eastern Federal University
named after Amosov.
Its first departments are a scientific-educational centre and a centre for collective use and development of nano technologies, a source at the university told the Sakha Republic's /Yakutia/ President Yegor Borisov.
The project to organize the new centre was supported over the
interregional conference of the United Russia Party in Khabarovsk in
December 2010. The federal special programme to develop nano industry's
infrastructures provided a grant of 120 million roubles to organize the
centre.
The Arctic Innovations Centre will form a state-private partnership to solve various technology problems and to implement technology cooperative projects. The centre has formed seven small businesses in modern technologies in construction, in IT technologies and product processing.
