Ukraine's gas system remains reliable route to Europe - FM
KIEV, March 19 (Itar-Tass) -- Ukraine's gas transporting system is and
will be most reliable route to supply gas to the European Union, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko said on Friday.
"Ukraine's policies in energy do not depend on Russia, and as the
Russian Federation is building two bypass gas pipelines, we are not
silent, we announce loudly that projects of the kind waste money and
effort," he said. "Ukraine's gas transporting system is and will be most
reliable way to supply Russia's gas to the European Union."
Kiev's officials and experts call on Russia's counterparts to refuse
from the South Stream project. They claim modernisation of Ukraine's gas
transporting system is less expensive and thus more effective
