More than 400 Pakistanis return from Libya
Islamabad, March 18, 2011 (PPI): In a bid to evacuate Pakistani citizens from crisis hit areas of Libya more than 400 Pakistanis have returned to Pakistan on Friday, in a special flight as part of ongoing safe escape of the citizens.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), in its 7th special flight, PK 7082, brought back more than 400 Pakistanis from Tripoli to Islamabad. According to the Foreign Office, PIA in the past six special flights has brought 5,322 Pakistanis back in the country.
The people who returned to Pakistan said that situation is Libya is very bad. They said that though the Pakistani Embassy is cooperating to bring back the Pakistanis stuck in Libya, the efforts being made are not adequate.
The authorities said that the operation to bring Pakistanis back from the crisis-hit country will continue till all those wanting to leave Libya have been brought back safely.
Those Pakistanis who had fled to Libya’s neighbouring countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Turkey have also been brought back.
