Japan's NPP breakdown is colossal national calamity- Pres
GORKY, March 17 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has referred to Japan's nuclear power plant breakdown as a colossal national calamity.
Speaking during a meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of
Kazakhstan, Medvedev expressed hope that such cataclysms would not happen in the Russian Federation or Kazakhstan.
"I hope that this year will be auspicious to our countries and our
peoples and that weather conditions will favour harvesting. In spite of what has happened in Japan, I also hope that there will be no such serious problems and cataclysms," he said.
"Japan is experiencing a colossal national calamity," Medvedev
emphasized.
