Ukraine's plane with humanitarian aid lands in Tokyo

KIEV, March 17 (Itar-Tass) - Ukraine's plane with humanitarian aid
landed in Tokyo earlier on Thursday, Press Secretary of Ukraine's Foreign
Ministry Alexander Dikusarov said.
Ukraine's about 160 citizens will be able to return home on board this
plane, he said. The time of the departure and of further landing in Kiev
"depends on many factors, and on the situation in Tokyo's airport," he
said. "The flight is expected to arrive in Kiev's Borispol airport night
of March 18."
The flight for Ukrainians will be free of charge, he added. It is
operated at the order of Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovich. The cargo
includes two thousand blankets and medications for the victims in the
earthquake and the tsunami.
According to Ukraine's foreign ministry, 1,590 Ukrainians are
registered officially in Japan, and 519 Ukrainians are registered at the
consular section.
