MQM to celebrate Founding Day with fervour
Karachi, March 16, 2011 (PPI): To mark the 27th Founding Day of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), preparations are in full swing throughout the country with the party workers and supporters taking active part in them.
According to a press release besides Karachi, preparations are at peak in MQM’s offices in rural Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Baluchistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
MQM came into being on March 18, 1984 and to celebrate the founding day, gatherings would take place in party’s offices all over the country. On the day of celebration MQM Chief Altaf Hussain would address the gatherings at 31 different locations from Karachi to Kashmir. The telephonic address would be made from London.
All sectors, zones, unit offices of MQM and important streets of the country would be decorated with the party’s flags and portraits of its leader.
Preparations for celebrations are in full swing at the Jinnah Ground in the Azizabad area of Karachi and the adjoining areas are also being decorated to mark the event.
