Situation in Balochistan becoming alarming: Salim Saifullah
Islamabad, March 16, 2011 (PPI): President Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and Chairman Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Salim Saifullah Khan has said that situation in Balochistan is becoming alarming.
While condemning the killing of son of Khan of Qallat Agha Mahmood Khan Ahmdazi, he said that Balochistan Package announced by PPP Government has faced complete failure and if the situation continues in such a manner the day is not so far when we would see another episode of East Pakistan in Balochistan.
Salim Saifullah Khan has said that Balochis are patriotic Pakistanis but avoiding them by every successive government has broken their trust to the level that they are now demanding for separate Balochistan. He further told that according to media reports, Pakistani flag is burnt down, and national anthem in most of the educational is banned.
He also highlighted that when conciliatory process in Balochistan starts, enemies of Pakistan and Balochis creates such critical situation. He said that these are combined enemies of Pakistan and Balochis which should be countered with combine efforts. He said that Pakistan Army is playing its important role to redress the grievances of Balochis but the government should do the same to get back their trust. He told that Balochistan is a big province in terms of size and resources but its people are still striving for their basic rights which are terrible. He urged upon the government that to implement Balochistan Package to redress the grievances of Balochis.
