COM: Mobilink Jazz Jazba Hunts for Talent and Brand Ambassadors
LAHORE, March 15, 2011 (PPI): Paying homage to the youth who constitute more than 60% of Pakistan’s population, Mobilink’s youth platform Jazz Jazba has launched a talent program to showcase and harness potential talent in a variety of categories.
Mobilink, Pakistan’s market leader in cellular services and a part of Orascom Telecom Holding has launched the Such Talent What’s Your Jazba activation in 100 colleges and universities across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and towns. The two-fold program not only presents a platform for youth to showcase talent and be recognized by their peers but is also a recruitment drive to create a panel of Ambassadors who will be trained and groomed by the Jazba team for a period of 6 months.
In the first phase, registered students who have filled out forms onsite or online will perform on stage to show what their Jazba is on their respective campuses in front of their peers. The audience will vote live for the winner. The winning Jazba in each college will win exciting prizes such as handsets, MP4 players and iPod Shuffles.
According to Ali Murtaza, Head of Brand Communications at Mobilink, the idea of this campaign is to provide an actual physical platform for the youth, who we all know are our future. We also wanted to make sure it was positively engaging and interactive. More importantly, we wanted to make sure that it was also useful and constructive. This is where the incentive based and goal driven Ambassador Program comes into play.
Arib Iqbal, a student at FAST University who showcased his talent of doing football tricks and won, where the First Such Talent was organized, agrees that the arrival of the Jazba team had an uplifting impact on the overall mood of the student body and gave a chance to interact with the brand team. It was fun and such a refreshing change. I am hoping to make it to the Ambassador program which would be awesome.
Participants can also win exciting Jazba branded merchandise for submitting their Jazbas, including t-shirts, key chains, caps, wrist bands, flags, world cup posters, Palm books and Jhoom CDs by Ali Zafar.
