Distt (Wazirabad): Six persons killed, 13 injured in bus-truck collision

WAZIRABAD, March 15, 2011 (PPI): As a result of headlong collision between a passenger Bus and a Truck six persons including one woman and her two children died and 13 other injured due to Fog on Ahmad Nagar Road near Saroki at 6.45 am some 16 km near here. According to details Bus No. RIR 4111 started journey from Alipur Chattha for Rawalpindi at 6 am. Vision of road was weak due to Fog. 1 km before Saroki Chowk bus collided headlong with a Truck No. K-Peshawar 5304, parked road side due to Fog, resultantly six persons including Truck Driver Taufiq Ahmad 25 r/o Sargodha, Bus Driver Mandoo Butt of Gujranwala, Khairat Ali s/o Raj Ali 30, his sister in Law Mst Nazia 30, her two children Usman and Fida Kausar residents of Jhelum died at the spot.

The 13 other injured which included Shahid s/o Ijaz Butt of Gujrat, Asif s/o Mohammad Sarwar r/o Shera Kot, Mohammad Javed s/o Mohammad Saleem r/o Gujranwala, Mohammad Noman s/o Mohammad Akhtar r/o Jhelum, Mohammad Akhtar s/o Mohammad Salman of Jhelum, Shehzad Hussain s/o Mohammad Afzal r/o Mandiala Chattha, Usman s/o Saif Ullah r/o Mandiala Chattha, Shahid s/o Riasat Ali r/o Sialkot, Bilal s/o Mohammad Siddiq r/o Soianwali, Qaiser s/o Mohammad Mansha r/o Mandiala Chattha, Manzoor s/o Mohammad Ashraf r/o Jhelum, Mohammad Salman s/o Ashraf r/o Faisalabad and Sumaira Kausar d/o Akhtar Mehmood r/o Jhelum After first aid seven injured were shifted to general Hospital Lahore and three to DHQ Gujranwala.

Ahmad Nagar Police reached the site and took the situation in control while villagers helped in Rescue work.
