Politics: Mushahid quashes all rumours about joining government

Islamabad, March 15, 2011 (PPI): The PML secretary general Mushahid Hussain Sayed Tuesday quashed all rumours about his party’s joining the federal government, saying his party did not intend to join any government and that there was complete consensus in his party on keep playing the opposition’s role for which the people had voted them in 2008 elections.

The PML has no intention to join any government and rather we will keep our separate identity intact We will form our own government after winning next elections, he said while talking to media here at the PML House.

He said that dialogue did not mean a deal as believe in resolving issues through dialogue. ’

Claiming that 2011 was the year of a political change, Mushahid said. Those who need us should come to us and hold dialogue which a political way, he said, adding that the PML did not believe in the politics of shutting-doors on politicians.

Mushahid said that the PML was fast gaining popularity across the country, therefore, the people were joining it and the party was winning the by-polls. Criticizing forward blocs and intra-party splinter groups, Mushahid said Manzoor Wattoo model of politics of 90s has been over. Now the people in the 21st century would reject turncoats, he added.

PML President of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Muqaam said that more and more people were joining his party which was a true representative of the masses.
