Aeroflot does not intend to suspend air service to Tokyo
MOSCOW, March 16 (Itar-Tass) - Russia's airline Aeroflot, is not
planning to suspend air service from Moscow to Tokyo, a source from the Aeroflot Board told Itar -Tass on Wednesday.
Planes flying to Tokyo leave Moscow half empty, but they return with a full passenger load, the source said. "Proceeding from the ticket demand we do not rule out that the number of flights on this air route might be even increased. Such a possibility has been studied now," the source said.
Earlier, a number of world leading airlines, including Lufthansa, had declared they would temporarily suspend flights to Tokyo.
A present, two airlines - the Russian Aeroflot and the Japanese JAL, continue flights from Moscow to Tokyo.
