Fire flares up at 4th reactor of Fukushima-1 NPP again

TOKYO, March 16 (Itar-Tass) - A fire has broken out at the fourth
reactor of the stricken Japanese Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant, the
Tokyo Electric Power (TEP) operator company announced on Wednesday. Fire fighting services and local authorities have been already notified about the incident. There has been no word about any victims.
On Tuesday, the power unit was on fire. The personnel of the NPP
operator company feared that spent nuclear fuel (SNF) could ignite.
Luckily the blaze was put out without damage to SNF.
A TEP source said Wednesday's fire most likely originated in the same place -- the third floor of Power Unit No. 4.
