IS denies nominating Allawi for ALSG post
Baghdad, March 15 (NINA) –The Iraqiya Slate denied reports over nominating the head of the Slate Ayad Allawi for the post of the Secretary General of the Arab League.
A statement by the spokesperson of the IS MP Maysoun al-Damlouji, cited Tuesday "The IS appreciates the good feelings and support of its allies, but such reports are groundless."
"Allawi is committed towards his national responsibilities and to work with Iraqi citizens to stabilize the country and improve the living situation along with his devotion to continue his excellent relations with the Arab and regional countries to achieve the national interests," she stressed.
