PTCL to provided data connectivity solution to Excise &Taxation Sindh

Karachi, March 15, 2011 (PPI): To integrate the tax collection process, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) would provide data connectivity solutions to Excise and Taxation offices throughout Sindh, informed Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawala on Tuesday at the agreement signing ceremony with the telecommunication company.

Chawala said the move would not just facilitate taxpayers in submission of taxes, but would make the tax collection of the province smooth and efficient.

He also said Excise and Taxation Department is the main tax collecting body of the province. Furthermore he said the largest telecommunication service provide is pleased to provide Sindh government a system that would ease out the tax collection procedure. These services offer secure, reliable and integrated end-to-end domestic connectivity solutions to cater data connectivity demand of the tax collecting department.

Chawala explained that PTCL aspires to equip the provincial government with its stare of the art data centre services, satellite communication links, video conference and wireless broadband services.

Senior Executive Vice President PTCL Abdullah Yousuf said the telecommunication is committed to provide technology of international standards to the government, educational and enterprise markets so that it can play a major role in the development of the province as well as the country.

The signing ceremony took place at the office of Secretary Excise and Taxation Manzoor Memon. The document was signed by Abdullah Yousuf and Manzoor Memon.
