Presence of Saudi troops in Bahrain ‘unacceptable’: Iran
TEHRAN, March 15 (MNA)-- As Saudi Arabia sends troops to Bahrain to suppress popular uprising in the country, the Iranian Foreign Ministry called the move “unacceptable”.
“The presence of foreign forces and interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs is unacceptable and will further complicate the issue,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told a regular news briefing on Tuesday.
“People have some legitimate demands and they are expressing them peacefully,” Memanparast said. “It should not be responded to violently.”
