Prime Minister Gilani in Kyrgyzstan on official visit

Bishkek, March 15, 2011 (PPI): Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani flew in here Tuesday on two-day official visit to Kyrgyzstan for talks with its leadership to strengthen bilateral relations and trade.

He was received by Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev at Manas international airport along with Pakistan ambassador Tanvir Akhtar Khaskheli and senior officials.

His delegation includes State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms Hina Rabbani Khar, Secretary Defence Lt General (retd) Syed Athar Ali and President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry Senator Haji Ghulam Ali.

Gilani was received by his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambaev at the Government House where a formal welcome ceremony was held. A contingent of Kyrgyz armed forces presented salute and Prime Minister reviewed guard of honour.
