Iran determined to develop ties with Saudi Arabia
TEHRAN, March 15 (MNA) -- In an exclusive interview with the Mehr News Agency,Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi commented on his foreign policy priorities to develop special diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia.
He said,“Saudi Arabia is one of the most important regional countries in the area of politics, economy, and culture. Iran, as a major and influential state in the Middle East, must increase its relations with all Islamic-Arab states in the region, particularly Saudi Arabia. Over the past decades, we have witnessed ups and downs in the relations between the two Islamic countries, which are not in the best interests of the two states, and in fact have served the interests of the regional and global enemies of Muslims.”
