Pakistan Premier urges all sections of society cooperate to root out terrorism
Islamabad, Aug 23 PPI: Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani urged all sections of society to extend helping hand in overcoming menace of terrorism and extremism.
Talking to newsmen while visiting Pakistan Ordnance Factory POF Hospital in Wah near capital Islamabad Saturday to see injured of Thursday's twin suicide bomb blasts which killed 72 people and injured 80 others, he appealed political parties and people to join hands in finding workable solution to the problem.
Gilani said those killing innocent people and depriving poor families of their bread earners are enemies of nation, society. ``We want to go deep into the problem and address its root causes.
``We are actively engaged in political dialogue with tribes to isolate militants. Policy of dialogue would continue but only with those who lay down arms as there can be no talk with those who challenge writ of the government and kill innocent people.''On possibility of involvement of foreign hand in Wah blasts, Prime Minister said it would be premature to say so. Some arrests have been made and outcome of investigations would be made public.
He said people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas FATA are ``patriotic to the core. We have initiated massive development programme for uplift of FATA people.''
