Russia, Netherlands to sign plan of actions for 2011-2013
THE HAGUE, March 14 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and the Netherlands plan to
sign a program of actions for 2011-2013 during Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal's visit to Moscow on Monday.
This is the fifth program to be signed since 2001. It defines vectors for the development of bilateral relations and covers all areas of cooperation. The document includes sections on a political dialogue, and cooperation in economy and trade, science and technologies, social issues and public relations, defence, culture, sports, peacekeeping and security.
"This is a comprehensive program, it consists of traditional elements - economic, humanitarian, scientific cooperation and regional ties," Russian ambassador to the Netherlands, Roman Kolodkin, told Itar-Tass. "It' s quite a standard work, but we hope that it will have a new quality content, as there are all grounds for this. First of all this work focuses on economic cooperation."
The program also pays attention to the preparation for the Year of
Russia in the Netherlands and the Year of the Netherlands in Russia.
"I think that in 2013 it is important for us to show our cooperation and achievements not only in culture, but also in economy, science, technologies and education. Of course, when we speak about plans, we remember our country's development priorities and modernization components," the ambassador said.
During his visit to Russia Uri Rosenthal will also lecture on modern
state management system in a changing world at the Higher School of
Economics and will visit Memorial civil rights society.
