Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate announces violations against journalists and media in Sulaymaniya and Erbi

Erbil (NINA) – Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate announced it “acquired definite info and evidences of flagrant violations against journalists in the region,” calling upon the local authorities to immediately investigate these violations and compensate the journalists.

Head of the journalists’ rights defense committee within the syndicate, Anwar Hussein, told NINA “the number of violations in Erbil and Sulaymaniya reached 25 cases, including arrest, beating up, and setting media buildings on fire during the demonstrations in Sulaymaniya and other cities.”/End/
