International amnesty delegation visits Erbil

Erbil (NINA) – High level delegation from International Amnesty Organization arrived in Erbil to investigate the recent violations against opposition media outlets, like KNN TV channel and Nalia Radio Station during their coverage of the demonstrations in Sulaymaniya and other cities in Kurdistan.

Karwan Abdullah, member of Kurdish Parliament from Taghier (Change) slate, stated to NINA that the delegation visited the two media outlets’ buildings and got acquainted with the destruction inflicted on them; it also registered statements of the outlets staff. The delegation promised to convey the violations to the Human Rights Authorities to demand compensations and punish the security authorities. /End/
