JAPAN'S EMBASSY COUNSELOR REPORTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The counselor of the Japan's Embassy in Mongolia Mr. Hino Koji gave Sunday a report to media. He has expressed thanks to the state leaders of Mongolia--the President Ts.Elbegdorj, the Speaker D.Demberel, the Premier S.Batbold, cabinet members, parliamentarians and the Mongolian people--for extending condolences to Japan due to deadly earthquakes and tsunami occurred March 11.
Mr. Koji has said Japan also thanked to the government of Mongolia for making a decision to render a non-refundable aid of USD 1 million to Japan, and to the Mongolian people for rendering various assistances. He has reported that amount of damages and number of victims have not been estimated yet. As of present, information is being collected about the Mongolian students in Sendai city, the epicenter of the natural disasters.
Mr. Koji has underlined he gained only information that works have been started to evacuate families near 1 and 2 nuclear power stations in Fukushima according to a report from an electricity company of Tokyo. In addition to it, a decision has not been made about a regulation of granting visas to Mongolian citizens and students who have returned home with unexpired visas.
