Italian companies seeking business with Iran
TEHRAN, Mar.13 (MNA) – Iran’s ambassador to Italy said Italian companies are seeking new markets in Central Asia, the Middle East and the Persian Gulf through the Islamic Republic.
Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said Italian investors from Rome and Milan have shown interest in doing business with Iran.
Hosseini, who was speaking on the sidelines of a conference in Italy on investment opportunities in Iran, said Italian companies have long and positive experience in doing business with Iran and want to strengthen and expand the transaction.
He said statistics show over one thousand Italian firms do business with Iran, adding that, small, medium and large-scale opportunities for investors should be offered.
The Iranian diplomat noted that 90 percent of Italy’s economy is run by small and medium size firms.
He emphasized that both sides are making efforts to find new venues to expand business relations.
