Libya accuses France of intention to induce its split
RABAT, March 12 (Itar-Tass) -- The Libyan authorities on Friday
announced the suspension of diplomatic relations with France.
Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Qaim said that "the French government
is aiming to help bring about a split of Libya."
This step by Tripoli was in response to Paris's recognition of the
oppositional Transitional National Council (TNC) in Libya as the "sole
legitimate representative of the Libyan people".
